In 2009, the Italian law, stated that only products totally made in Italy (planning, manufacturing, and packaging) are allowed to label themselves as Made in Italy or 100% Made in Italy.
This regulation allows the Italian products to stand out from the rest as getting Made in Italy verified, is much more restrictive than other countries globally.
